About
Oliver Zornow is an alum of the Appleton Area School District, a current AASD elementary school parent, and Appleton resident and taxpayer.

Oliver has dedicated his life and career to unlocking the power of education for children around the world. After two decades working in non-formal education spaces including non-profits, volunteer boards, and the United States Peace Corps, Oliver is passionate about putting his experience to work on the AASD Board of Education.

He is a father of two children, Lawrence University graduate, former PTO Treasurer, and active volunteer and advocate within multiple sectors of the Fox Cities community.

Our Board of Education is facing critical decisions that will impact an entire generation of students and we need to move boldly to ensure we are truly meeting the goal of every child, every day.
Campaign Priorities
Investment
Decades of stagnant investment from the State and decreasing reimbursement for unfunded mandates like special education means we are not meeting the needs of our most vulnerable students. We need to reaffirm our community's commitment to this investment in our shared future by attracting the best educators, supporting every classroom, and meeting the needs of every student.
Accountability
We need to ensure the investments we make create meaningful results for our kids and communities. School leadership can inspire a high-accountability culture within the district and commit to building clear communication and processes.
Community
Thanks to prudent financial management, Appleton is one of the last districts in the region to have a true neighborhood school model. We need to explore and articulate our core values as a community and celebrate the positive outcomes of this model for students, families, and neighbors.
